A commitment to creating natural skincare products starts with a clear checklist on what skin and hair care products should NOT contain.

NO PARABENS

What we use instead;

We use natural preservatives such as Citrus Paradisi (grapefruit seed extract) wherever possible, however to maintain a substantially longer shelf life (2 ½ years on all Sukin products) we also use Phenoxyethanol and Benzyl Alcohol in most products at very safe & low levels as both have a proven safety record, particularly in preserving natural formulations.

NO ARTIFICIAL COLOURS

What we use instead;

The colour of Sukin formulations is due to the natural and organic ingredients used to create these. No artificial colours are added. As essential oils and their particular yield can vary from batch to batch, so too can the colour of our products. This is perfectly natural.

NO PROPYLENE GLYCOL / NO TRIETHANOLAMINE

What we use instead;

With many natural emulsifiers available to replace these harsh ingredients, we use plant and vegetable derived surfactants, vegetable oils and vegetable based glycerin instead.

NO MINERAL OILS

What we use instead;

We use natural plant and seed based oils for their wonderful moisturising
properties. Some commonly used oils that you will see in our products are
certified organic rosehip, jojoba, avocado and wheat germ oil.

NO SODIUM LAURYL SULPHATE / SODIUM LAURETH SULPHATE

What we use instead;

We use coconut derived, non-drying ingredients such as Decyl Glucoside & Cocamidopropyl Betaine in our hair and skin cleansing products to effectively remove surface oil, dirt and bacteria without stripping the skin’s natural oils.

NO SYNTHETIC FRAGRANCES

What we use instead;

We use Australian essential oils such as tangerine, mandarin and lavender, blended with vanilla extract to give you the all-natural signature Sukin fragrance that we are sure you’ll agree is simply delicious!

NO ANIMAL DERIVATIVES

What we use instead;

As a proud vegan brand, we don’t use animal products or even by-products such as honey, lanolin or beeswax. Instead, Sukin uses soy proteins and natural plant extracts such as shea butter and jojoba as emollients to soften, smoothe and hydrate the skin.
